The library provides the following spaces for individual or group use:
Study Carrel (for 1 month/2 months)
Faculty and graduate students are eligible to apply for the use of a study carrel for 1 month, and students working on dissertations may apply for a period of 2 months, limited to once per degree program. Please log in at the study carrel reservation system for application.
Successful applicants are notified by e-mail and must use the assigned carrel at least once every 7 days during the loan period. Carrels that remain unused for more than 7 days are reassigned to other applicants. For further information, please contact ext. 15102.
Study Carrel (for 4 hours)
The library provides study carrels that are accessible to faculty, staff, and students for 4 hours, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please use your CCU faculty/staff/student ID to apply for a temporary study carrel at the reference desk. If there are no waiting applicants, use can be extended for an extra 4 hours. Equipped with overhead projectors, computers, digital TVs, and Internet access, the discussion rooms offers state-of-the-art technology for groups of at least three users. Please book online in advance at the discussion room reservation Web site, and check in with your CCU faculty/staff/student ID at the reference desk. Rooms that are not checked into within 15 minutes following the scheduled time are released to other groups. If there are no waiting applicants, extensions of 4 hours can be obtained. Located on the first floor, the creative classroom is equipped with overhead projectors, computers, internet access, sofas and chairs. Its flexible and spacious layout permits multiple activities, such as lectures, panel discussions, brain-storming meetings, and for watching movies. University administrative units , extracurricular groups, and instructors are eligible to use the room (with a minimum of 15 users). Located on the first floor, the video-audio classrooms (rooms 115 and 116) are equipped with overhead projectors, computers, and wireless internet. With a capacity of 50 seats, each classroom is suitable for lectures, panel discussions, and for watching movies. All faculty members and students with a minimum of 15 users are eligible to use the rooms. Please reserve the rooms online in advance at the room reservation Web site.
